Capturing the first moments of a newborn’s life is truly special. Little Gwendolyn’s session was no exception! Stacy and Mitch welcomed their beautiful daughter into the world, and it was such a joy to document the beginning of their journey as a family of three. Lifestyle newborn sessions are my absolute favorite to photograph. Tiny fingers and toes, sleepy yawns, scrunchy noses, and newborn smirks, just an overwhelming love fills the room every session!
I’ve had the privilege of photographing Stacy and Mitch since they were engaged, and witnessing their love story unfold has been nothing short of amazing. From their wedding day, filled with excitement, to these intimate moment of parenthood, it’s an honor to be part of their journey. Seeing them step into their new roles as Mom and Dad, full of adoration for Gwendolyn, was a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do!
Newborn sessions in my studio are always relaxed and baby-led, allowing plenty of time for feeding, snuggling, and soothing in between shots. There’s no rush—if Gwendolyn needed a break, we paused. We took our time if she needed a diaper change (or four lol!) or a feeding. The comfort of both baby and parents is my top priority, which is why I also provide snacks and refreshments to make the experience as stress-free as possible.
The beauty of lifestyle newborn photography is in the simplicity of the moment: the way Stacy cradled Gwendolyn, Mitch’s soft forehead kisses, and their little girl curled perfectly into their arms. These organic, love-filled interactions are what I love to capture most. There’s no pressure for forced poses, just natural, heartfelt moments that will be cherished forever.
My studio is the perfect space for these intimate newborn sessions. With soft natural light and a warm, inviting atmosphere, it allows for dreamy, timeless images that focus on connection and emotion. Whether it’s the cozy textures, neutral tones, or peaceful environment, every detail is designed to create a comfortable space where families can simply be together and soak in these fleeting newborn days.
Stacy and Mitch’s session was a reminder of how quickly time passes and how important it is to capture these moments before they become memories. I’m so grateful to have been part of their journey from the beginning, and I can’t wait to continue documenting their family as Gwendolyn grows. These first moments are so precious, and having them preserved in photographs is a gift that will last a lifetime.
