Getting to photograph Quinn’s first year of life has been such an honor and a joy. From the very beginning, his mom and dad were an absolute pleasure to work with—so kind, present, and clearly so in love with their sweet baby boy. Quinn adores them right back, and it shows in every session. His best smiles and most expressive little faces always came out when they were nearby, bringing so much warmth and love into each image.
Quinn’s Newborn Moments | So little, so loved!
His newborn session still stands out as one of the most beautiful and memorable I’ve had. Quinn was so tiny, perfectly cradled in his parents’ hands—those early moments of connection and tenderness are something I always love capturing. At six months, we had a session full of giggles and curiosity. He especially loves bath time at home, though maybe not so much in the studio! We ended up taking the water out of the tub and just like that, Quinn was all smiles again. The resulting photos? Absolutely adorable.
Halfway to One |
A couple of months ago, we wrapped up Quinn’s one-year session. I could hardly believe how much he’d grown! We recreated a few of the poses from his newborn shoot, and seeing the side-by-side moments was precious! One year can feel like a blink, but the growth in size, personality, and connection is remarkable. His expressions are even more animated now, and his bond with his parents is deeper than ever. One of my favorite details from this session was the beautiful wooden rocking horse you see in the photos—handmade by Quinn’s great-grandpa. What an incredible legacy to include in these memories!

Watching Quinn grow and change, and getting to witness the love his parents pour into every moment, has been such a gift. All of these sessions took place in my natural light studio in Milwaukee, which gave us a cozy, consistent space to document each milestone with warmth and simplicity. It’s families like this that remind me why I do what I do—capturing memories that are fleeting but full of meaning!
