Turning one is a truly special milestone, and it’s one of my favorites to capture! Babies at this age are starting to show off their unique personality traits, and it’s so cute to see all that they’ve learned in just one year!

When Aria and Nina’s mom reached out, I was so excited! Photographing twins is always such a joy, and she had the sweetest vision: a Berry First Birthday theme with a cottagecore strawberry aesthetic. I had most of the props on hand to bring mom’s vision to life & it all came together so seamlessly and beautifully. It turned out even cuter than I imagined.
Family Moments to Start |
We began the session with some family portraits. This is the best way to get your little ones comfortable in a new place and in front of the camera. Mom asked me to recreate some of their newborn moments, and the images turned out so sweet!
Aria and Nina were full of giggles, smiles, and some tears. They were wiggling through the family portraits and giving great smiles every time I popped up with a “peek-a-boo!” These moments are always so fun, and I love capturing these candid interactions.

Then came the best part, the CAKE SMASH! And with twins?! Double the fun and entertainment! While they fed off each other’s energy, their individual personalities really came through during this part of the session. Nina was on the move, exploring, while Aria stayed with her cake, giving us lots of bashful expressions and smiles. I just loved seeing the girls giggling together the whole session.
Sweet Sister Moments |
After getting the girls all cleaned up and free of frosting, we grabbed some simple portraits of them in their best friend jackets. Just the two of them, happy, comfy & completely themselves! I had the best time working with this sweet family!
